THE TAKING ON OF POWER
As we come to live in a manner wherein consciousness becomes an enabling resource, not bound by narrow cognitive conceptualizations, rather of a more expansive nature, it is possible to wonder creatively about the contextual relationship encompassing beingness and source of beingness. It feels like healthy, fresh areas of exploration without a priori assumptions to wonder about source, matter in motion, metabolic function, cognition, consciousness and connectedness. Is there subjective sensitivity which allows for intuitive communication or communion or both? Is the source of being and spirituality itself absence? Since we have no way of knowing is it reasonable to consent to subjective speculation and further; to value inspiration, conversations, subtle communication and belonging? I think so. All of this is devoid of classic notions of power and omnipotence; such notions contributing greatly to the continuance of pervasive culturally based disrelationship.
COMMUNICATING WITH THE SOURCE OF CREATION
Since the advent of
awareness
wherein we have come to view
all of what we see in creation
we have been enamored with power.
Then language and thought
and other tools as well
that might enhance
our abilities to
be as we wish
do we desire.
Amidst this inventiveness
and construction
of civilizations, armies
governments and social structures
it has become impossible
to find our way.
We create turmoil and chaos
and define the nature of creation
according to whomsoever’s
wishes.
Little attention has been given
to following with care
the design of what
we have found. Rather
whatever expedient arises
will likely receive much attention
and the challenge to create
our own structures that are
visibly of our making
will invite those
who wish to be buried
or to inscribe
their names upon
or for some other expression
of social importance
to create them.
So it is with the development
of structures of belief
for formal expressions
of communion
and communication with
what has caused us to be.
Many have found solace, refuge
courage and refreshment
in the arms of creation’s love
How one does this over time
becomes a matter of personal discovery
as with any expression
of love.
Should we find this
involvement
and in so doing discover how it is
we might best live in this world,
relate to others and ourselves
our struggles and
agonies
would be minimized
and our beneficial effect upon
what is occurring
greatly enhanced.
We live amongst immense spheres
of continuing existence.
We are one with it all.
Within us we find
a potential to see life
we see our own being
just as those first ones
of our species
became aware.
Beyond this,
we now see ourselves
seeing these things
witnessing our own being
and creation’s vast magnificence
simultaneously.
And it is good we do.
For from that window
we see absence.
This is our source….
nothingness.
Into nothingness we speak,
reflect, or simply witness.
Moreover within our design,
should we learn,
we may respond well
to nothingness.
As spiritual sustenance
our way is brightened
and communication established.
In this manner
as with many other opportunities
for good works
we find unity in being
life beyond
the struggles for power.
With patience
and ongoing awareness.
Our fundamental
basis for communication
becomes our primary
nature.
All other expressions
of love and caring,
work and pleasure
are enhanced by it.
